The Showcraft Gold are sewn together using a quality waxed cotton thread. The rug must be hosed down before use so the waxed cotton thread will swell up and expand into all sewn areas making your rug waterproof. Hosing down the rug before use will also wash away any excess surface colour dye. Ensure rug is completely dry before storing it away. It is recommended to apply a canvas reproofing compound before the start of each new season.
